KT Park is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and a member of the our site Medical Advisory Board. He serves as an attending physician for gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition services at Packard. His clinical interests are general gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease in children.
Park's NIH-funded studies aim to compare the pharmaco-economics of therapeutic and diagnostic strategies for pediatric chronic gastrointestinal diseases, with a focus on Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, liver transplantation, celiac disease, and chronic abdominal pain.
He conducts clinical research projects with a multidisciplinary team from Stanford's School of Medicine, Graduate School of Business, School of Engineering, and Center for Health Policy/Center for Primary Care Outcomes Research.
He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry and biochemistry from Duke University, his doctorate in medicine from the University of Tennessee, and his master's degree in health policy research from Stanford University, where he also completed his subspecialty clinical training in gastroenterology.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing squash, throwing Frisbees, and spending time with wife, Christina, and sons, Eli and Amos.
