I remember before I even knew I was pregnant with my first, I had a “hmmm” moment. That morning, I got off the ferry, walked my normal 6 blocks to my office and all of a sudden I was really really dizzy. I passed someone smoking on the street and my dizziness got worse. I ended up pressing myself against my building taking deep breaths before I was able to trudge myself upstairs to my office.
A few days later, I took a pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant. The bizarre dizzy spell suddenly made perfect sense.
Over on the August 2012 Birth Club, members are talking about their very first pregnancy symptoms.
With my 1st, I had a weird "warm" sensation in my way lower abdomen. Next came the incredible heightened sense of smell. I was able to smell my honeysuckle from my deck, and it's way in the back end of my huge yard. That's how i KNEW. Got a BFP that day :)

Extremely thirsty- craving juice- sleeping ten hours at a time, and then napping in the afternoon.

Extremely tired and hungry. Also this is going to sound weird but my left knee starts aching each time I'm pregnant.

I've got the pregnancy nose too! I was in a restauraunt that must have been using a cleaner in the kitchen. I couldn't believe no one else could smell lemon!

It seems like the most common early symptoms are a heightened sense of smell, exhaustion, sore breasts and crampiness.
